Hi, my name is Ashton. I live in Kansas with my husband and three dogs. I am first grade teacher, and a blogger working to help women accept themselves, stay mentally healthy, and create a balanced lifestyle (free from diet culture).
After college, I struggled to be active, eat some nutritiously dense foods, and stay motivated. Then once I started running after my first year of teaching, I took the wellness movement too far by banning certain foods completely, eating too little, spending too much time working out, and obsessing about my body.
Now, I try to work at staying mentally healthy and maintaining a healthy relationship with people, food, and exercise… striving to be a balance queen. I want to share my journey and tips with you and remind you that you are not alone.
